LinkedIn Tips
LinkedIn Tip No 1:
Let your visitors focus on you, not your competitors
Maybe you are puzzled about the right-hand column of the profile showing "people also viewed," listing profiles similar to yours, of which some you may consider direct competitors? Do yourself a favor by turning this function off, allowing the visitors to your profile to focus on your profile only and not get distracted to go somewhere else.
In order to switch off this setting, go the the "Me" option on your menu, choose "Settings & Privacy," then select "People also viewed," and turn it off.
Great, now you can continue to keep an eye on who is visiting your profile and optimizing it further to attract your ideal clients.
LinkedIn Tip No 2:
Make it easy for your connections to get in touch right away
Wouldn’t it be great if you could be contacted on the spot by a presumptive customer while you are using LinkedIn? You may actually configure your settings in a way that allows this simply, by making yourself available to your connections or to everyone on LinkedIn and demonstrating your responsiveness.
To check out the alternative ways you can be visible to others while you are using LinkedIn yourself, go the "Me" option on your menu, choose "Settings & Privacy," then select "Visibility," and choose the option you prefer.
Great, now you are in a good position to hear from presumptive customers or other stakeholders who could be vital to your business.
LinkedIn Tip No 3:
Make it easy for others to make you visible in their feeds
Marketing-wise, nothing really compares to other professionals recommending you or engaging you in topics where you are seen as an expert, right? You may need to check your settings so you have made it possible for others to mention or tag you in their updates. On rare occasions, you may remove a mention or tag if you need to, but in most cases, this is a gift when it comes to trustworthy positioning.
To enable the option for others to mention or tag you, go the the "Me" option on your menu, choose "Settings & Privacy," then select "Visibility of your LinkedIn activity," and then finally choose the option Mentions or Tags.
Great, now you are in a great position to continue building trust as an expert on LinkedIn and attract more ideal clients.
